1. Introduction
World Health Treat ("we," "us," or "our"), a home health & wellness management company founded in 2020 and headquartered in Washington, District of Columbia, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal and health information you entrust to us. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we protect it, and the choices you have — in plain English, not legalese.
By accessing healthylivingnest.com (the "Site"), submitting our booking or contact forms, subscribing to our newsletter, or enrolling as a member, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information you provide directly
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number, and mailing address when you book a service, contact us, or subscribe.
- Service requests: the program you select (e.g., Cardio Health, Dental Care), preferred appointment dates, and messages you write to us.
- Health information (members only): with your explicit consent, information such as vitals, lab results, medication lists, and care-plan notes needed to deliver your chosen programs.
- Billing information: payment card details are processed exclusively by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party processors; we never store full card numbers on our servers.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and log data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring pages, and pages viewed.
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To schedule, deliver, and coordinate your health & wellness services;
- To respond to inquiries within one business hour and provide customer support;
- To verify insurance benefits, file pre-authorizations, and process claims on your behalf;
- To send transactional messages (appointment confirmations, care-plan updates, receipts);
- To send our weekly newsletter only where you have opted in;
- To improve our Site, programs, and member outcomes using aggregated, de-identified data;
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and clinical record-keeping obligations.
4. Health Information & HIPAA
Where we act as a healthcare provider or business associate, Protected Health Information (PHI) is handled in accordance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Members receive a separate Notice of Privacy Practices upon enrollment. PHI is never sold, never used for advertising, and is disclosed only for treatment, payment, operations, or as required by law.
5. Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with:
- Care network practitioners involved in your treatment, on a need-to-know basis;
- Service processors (hosting, email delivery, payment, SMS) bound by contractual confidentiality and security obligations;
- Insurers, solely to process your claims and pre-authorizations;
- Legal authorities, when required by subpoena, court order, or applicable law, or to protect safety.
6. Cookies & Analytics
We use essential cookies for Site function and privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time; essential features may still require them. We do not use cross-site advertising trackers.
7. Data Retention
Contact and booking inquiries are retained for up to 3 years. Clinical records are retained for the period required by applicable state and federal law (typically 6–10 years). Newsletter data is retained until you unsubscribe, after which your address is removed from marketing lists within 10 business days and suppressed from future campaigns.
8. Data Security
We employ end-to-end TLS encryption in transit, AES-256 encryption at rest, U.S.-based servers, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for staff, annual third-party penetration testing, and incident-response procedures. No system is 100% secure; in the unlikely event of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you and regulators as required by law.
9. Your Rights & Choices
- Access / correction / deletion: request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us;
- Opt-out of marketing: unsubscribe via any email footer link or our unsubscribe page;
- Withdraw consent: members may withdraw consent for non-essential uses of health data without affecting treatment;
- Non-discrimination: we never penalize you for exercising privacy rights.
10. Newsletter & Unsubscribe
Subscribing is double-confirmed by welcome email. Every newsletter contains a one-click unsubscribe link. Our standalone unsubscribe page removes your address from all marketing lists; transactional care messages related to active services may still be sent.
11. Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from children without verifiable parental consent. Minor members are enrolled only by a parent or legal guardian. If you believe a child has provided us data without consent, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
12. State Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA, VCDPA, CPA & others)
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have additional rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sales" or "sharing." World Health Treat does not sell personal information as defined by these statutes. To exercise rights, email us with the subject line "Privacy Request"; we respond within 45 days.
13. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to partners, labs, or insurers. We are not responsible for their privacy practices; please review their policies independently.
14. International Visitors
Our services target U.S. residents and data is processed in the United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, you consent to transfer and processing under U.S. law.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect new practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be announced on this page with a revised "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, by email.
